Which other board/card games to you like to play? Do you think they will have a big impact on sets you help design?

[+]A lot! I?ve played 20+ CCG?s since I started my first, and, while I?m mostly focused on Magic now, I still play a lot of board and card games. Some of the ones I have played a lot of recently include: Stone Age, Ascension, Dominion, Saint Petersburg, Race For the Galaxy, and Endeavor, and I also...
So 06.11.2011 00:04

What was it about that first English class you took that made you want to switch majors?

[+]Nothing. That was an example used in one of my articles talking about how your life can easily change, but not what actually happened to me. I?ve enjoyed writing my entire life....
Sa 05.11.2011 23:59

If I were to bake you a Magic themed cake, how would I be able to send it to you, and what flavour do you prefer?

[+]I am generally not discriminatory when it comes to cakes. My least favorite kind is carrot cake, but I will still eat it. Fruit fillings, chocolate, vanilla, ice cream, tres leches, cheesecake, and so on are all fine with me....
Sa 05.11.2011 23:55

As an actual Magic question, what do you think are the best and worst mechanics in Magic history? Not in terms of power level or broken-ness, but in terms of their design and the way they play in the...

[+]Best? Flying. Worst? I think fateseal is pretty high up there. As we saw with Jace, that?s just not fun gameplay.

Fr 04.11.2011 07:06

Be careful how you answer this, as it'll color the world's perspective on you forever: Star Wars or Star Trek?

[+]Despite how often they?re compared, I feel they are really very different. I like them both for different reasons. I also haven?t watched either of them for a very long time but was very into them at a younger age. With that said, if I had to choose one, I think I would choose Trek.
Fr 04.11.2011 06:36

Who would win: Ewoks or Tribbles?

[+]Ewoks! They at least have the capacity to be violent and fight. Tribbles just make infinity copies of themselves. (Though on the flip side, I guess Wild Nacatl is weak to Splinter Twin-Pestermite?)
Fr 04.11.2011 06:15

How has the sense of morale inside R&D changed in the last 4 days?

[+]I presume you?re talking about me entering? It?s hard for me to definitively say one way or another, because  I don?t know what it was like before I got here. But in my eyes, it?s great. Everybody loves fresh blood. We seldom get a outsiders perspective on what we?re working on, so bringing...

In your opinion who are the top 5 (or possibly 10) people who made Magic what it is today? Just some people to get you thinking...Richard Garfield, Maro, Designers, Developers, Pro Players, Judges,...

[+]Good question! Depends a little on what you mean by ?today.? Off the top of my head, I would say Richard Garfield, Skaff Elias, Bill Rose, Mark Rosewater, Aaron Forsythe, Frank Kusomoto, Mike Flores, Paul Barclay, Randy Buehler, and then a wildcard for at least one person whom I obviously forgot....
Fr 04.11.2011 05:50

Which do you think was most influential on your selection for Internship at WotC R&D? Your articles, your competitive play, or your social networking (twitter, facebook, etc)?

[+]To be honest, a little bit of everything. It shows that I am a well rounded player, which is invaluable. However, if I had to choose one thing, I would say my articles and my Overextended work. (Which are kind of tied together.)
Fr 04.11.2011 05:46

What percentage of your time is spent playtesting and when you do playtest, what form do the tests take? (Limited, Constructed, what sets legal, etc etc)

[+]It depends on the day. Some days are very meeting heavy, while others leave the whole day open for brewing and playing. Also, since I?m still getting used to the cards and deckbuilding, my percentage of time spent playtesting might be lower now than it will be in the future....
Fr 04.11.2011 05:45

when's the last time you told someone to cut a land

04.03.2015 11:27 | zwork

Hätte man Megamorph nicht als "whenever it's turned face up for it's Morph cost put a +1/+1 counter on it" lösen können?
Hätte weniger von Power Ranger-Feeling. Ich finds dämlich so wie es ist.

Gerade mit dem Shop-Besitzer geschrieben:

26.03.15 - Sealed - Speyer

stimmt nicht (mehr).

Es soll der 29.03. werden (was auch von WotC bestätigt wurde) - was auch mehr Sinn macht, da am Wochenende.

Bitte ändern ;)
