Überraschungsei mit Gimmicks


Dass es nun zu einem Core Set auch Event Decks geben soll, hatte uns bereits verwundert, als die ersten Bilder bekannt wurden. Heute hat nun WotC die restlichen Infos nachgeliefert:
Die Decks werden am 12. August in den Sprachen Deutsch, Englisch, Italienisch, Französisch und Japanisch erscheinen und entgegen früherer Vermutungen Illusionary Might und Vampire Onslaught heißen.
Dabei ist Letzteres der Grundstock zu dem immer wiedermal im Standard erfolgreichen Vampire-Deck, während Ersteres ein unfokussierter Haufen ist, der die Möglichkeiten einzelner starker Karten nicht ausschöpft. Aber ob nun die Daseinsberechtigung dieser Decks darin besteht, dass man sie erst pimpen oder direkt damit ein FNM gewinnen können soll... spielen kann man damit so oder so - im Standard allerdings nur noch zwei Monate lang!

Der Aufstieg der Dunkelheit


Irgendeine solche Blödsinnigkeit wird ganz bestimmt aus Dark Ascension gemacht werden. The Ascension ist übrigens der feststehende Begriff für die Himmelfahrt Christi, zumindest im englischen Sprachraum; aber in diesem Zusammenhang wird darauf wohl niemand anspielen (wollen).

Warum ich das aber erzähle? - Nun, gestern hatte ich ja bereits erwähnt, dass die zweite Edition des Innistrad-Blocks Dark Ascension heißen soll. Heute hat nun WotC das Set auf ihrer Homepage vorgestellt:


Tja, es hat den Anschein als wäre Dark Ascension für Sorin das, was Innistrad für Liliana ist...


Dagegen ist mir völlig schleierhaft, was das Dark Ascension-Logo darstellen soll:

Schon lange finde ich es schade, dass du deinen Projekten goyf und Couchmagic so wenig Liebe angedeihen lässt. Der Schritt, den goyf nun ganz zu beenden, ist nachvollziehbar, aber auch aus meiner Sicht bedauerlich. Couchmagic wird vermutlich bald folgen...

Sehr schade, den Newsfeed habe ich bis vor 3 Tagen täglich genutzt. Vielleicht kannst du mir ein ähnliches Angebot nennen?

Sicher, aber dann wäre es keine neue Fähigkeit bzw. kein neues Keyword...

Hätte es dagegen spannend gefunden, wenn WotC eine Kreatur mit Megamorph zusätzlich auch mit Morph ausgestattet hätten, damit man eine situative Wahl treffen könnte. Ich hoffe, dass WotC auch auf diese Idee gekommen ist!

Hätte man Megamorph nicht als "whenever it's turned face up for it's Morph cost put a +1/+1 counter on it" lösen können?
Hätte weniger von Power Ranger-Feeling. Ich finds dämlich so wie es ist.
