Magic Weekend Paris


Die Pro Tour Paris Coverage komplett oder eine Video-Zusammenfassung vom ersten Tag gib es nach dem Klick.

Edit: Auf PlanetMTG wird fleißig an einer deutschsprachigen und recht lesenswerten Coverage geschraubt.


Und heute sind unsere beiden Player of the Year 2010 noch am Grinsen, doch es kann nur Einen geben!
Am Samstag Morgen - vor dem Grand Prix - werden sich die beiden Kontrahenten begegnen. Gespielt wird ein Best-of-seven-Match. Und weil es so etwas bisher noch nie gab, wird das Spektakel ab 9.00 Uhr per Webcast übertragen.
Hier sind übrigens die Decks, die die beiden in den ersten (und ggf. auch in den letzten) beiden Runden (und natürlich auch bei der Pro Tour) ins Feld führen:

Ich wünsche mir ja einen ausgeglichenen Stand von 3-3 und dann einen Draw! Dann wäre WotC in den Arsch gekniffen und müsste sich was Neues ausdenken! :D

Deckbuilder's Toolkit 2011


Wie schon im letzten Jahr gibt es auch 2011 ein Deckbuilders Toolkit (auf deutsch: Deckbau-Box).



Der WPN-Newsletter, den Magicblogs zitiert, sagt bereits alles über das Produkt aus.

Die Deckbau-Box

Die Deckbau-Box bietet einen einfachen Beginn für eine Magic-Sammlung und eine hervorragende Einführung in den Deckbau mit 225 bedingt-zufälligen Karten [plus 60 Basic Lands - goyf] – eine hervorragende Kartenbasis für eine Sammlung und um mehrere verschiedene Decks zu bauen.

Neben der umfangreichen Kartenauswahl enthält die Deckbau-Box 2011 eine Einführung, wie man seine eigenen Decks zusammenstellt, inklusive Tipps für bestimme Deck-Typen. Da der Inhalt der Deckbau-Boxen immer verschieden ist, bieten sie sich für Deckbau-Wettbewerbe an, bei denen jeder Spieler ein Deck mit seiner Deckbau-Box zusammenstellt.

Zum ersten Mal auf Deutsch erhältlich. Die Deckbau-Box 2011 ist nach einem Intro-Pack das ideale zweite Produkt für einen neuen Magic-Spieler.


Die Box wird es dieses Mal nicht nur in englisch, sondern auch in anderen Sprachen geben. Abgebildet ist beispielsweise die deutsche Fassung. Einen Erscheinungstermin konnte goyf noch nicht ermitteln.

Suchende WotCs


Wie goyf aus sicherer Quelle erfuhr, suchte Wizards heute anhand einer Rundmail nach einem Veranstalter für die nächsten deutschen Meisterschaften. Es scheint bei WotC selbst keine Möglichkeit mehr zu bestehen, sich direkt darum zu kümmern.
Es steht zu hoffen, dass man in Zukunft bessere (im Sinne von Umfeld, nicht reinem Ablauf, der war immer super) Meisterschaften kriegt. Wenn es denn schnell genug klappt, die Orga aus fremder Hand hinzubekommen.

Matt Tabak hat uns heute das February 2011 Update Bulletin vorgestellt:

Passend dazu, steht jetzt auch das neue MBS Magic Set FAQ in den meisten relavanten Sprachen zum Runterladen bereit.

Übrigens sind zwischen den ganzen Regeln und Änderungen auch die Decklisten der Mirrodin Besieged Intro Packs aufgetaucht. Auf den ersten Blick scheint dabei die Tradition der Ausbau-bedürftigen-Haufen-Decks perfekt fortgesetzt worden zu sein, aber genau deswegen kommen sie ja auch mit einen Extra-Booster daher.

Ungeachtet dessen wünsche ich Euch ein erfolgreiches Prerelease-Wochenende!

Schon lange finde ich es schade, dass du deinen Projekten goyf und Couchmagic so wenig Liebe angedeihen lässt. Der Schritt, den goyf nun ganz zu beenden, ist nachvollziehbar, aber auch aus meiner Sicht bedauerlich. Couchmagic wird vermutlich bald folgen...

Sicher, aber dann wäre es keine neue Fähigkeit bzw. kein neues Keyword...

Hätte es dagegen spannend gefunden, wenn WotC eine Kreatur mit Megamorph zusätzlich auch mit Morph ausgestattet hätten, damit man eine situative Wahl treffen könnte. Ich hoffe, dass WotC auch auf diese Idee gekommen ist!

Hätte man Megamorph nicht als "whenever it's turned face up for it's Morph cost put a +1/+1 counter on it" lösen können?
Hätte weniger von Power Ranger-Feeling. Ich finds dämlich so wie es ist.
